Estimation of Sensitive Attributes Using Randomized Response Techniques in Sample Surveys

چکیده
The survey is a research technique that involves asking inquiries of sample components. Sample studies may draw attention to respondents' private or sensitive information. tendency respondents respond on the basis what socially acceptable harm response rate surveys. This be because large number decline participate in give erroneous conditional replies, which have significant impact estimates' accuracy and dependability. To safeguard privacy lessen chance they avoid answering difficult questions, Randomized Response (RR) approach was devised. Warner's work has spawned body literature been applied numerous sectors, although these methods challenges drawbacks. Horvitz method employed this article address properties. In order obtain findings are more accurate than those obtained by using previous RRT algorithms, we estimate two attributes: lying bullying. compute our findings, employ R codes.

متن کاملMedian Estimation in Sample Surveys
In a recent paper Maritz and Jarrett (1978) proposed a small-sample estimate of the variance of sample medians from continuous population. In this paper their methods are adapted to median estimation in s~atified sampling without replacement from finite populations. A weighted sample median for estimating the median of heavy-tailed or skewed populations is proposed. Its asymptotic normal distri...
متن کاملAssessing Sensitive Attributes Using the Randomized Response Technique: Evidence for the Importance of Response Symmetry
Randomized response techniques (RRTs) aim to reduce social desirability bias in the assessment of sensitive attributes but differ regarding privacy protection. The less protection a design offers, the more likely respondents cheat by disobeying the instructions. In asymmetric RRT designs, respondents can play safe by giving a response that is never associated with the sensitive attribute. Symme...
متن کاملThe Franklin's Randomized Response Model for Two Sensitive Attributes
In this paper, we suggest a new method to estimate the proportions of two nonoverlapping sensitive attributes using the famous method of Franklin (1989: Communications in Statistics-Theory and Methods). The extension is based on the recent work of Singh and Chen (2009: Journal of Statistical Planning and Inference) where they suggest to utilize higher order moments of the scrambling variable to...
متن کاملBayesian non-randomized response models for surveys with sensitive questions
Three non-randomized response (NRR) models (namely, the non-randomized triangular, crosswise and hidden sensitivity models) have recently been developed for analyzing dichotomous sensitive questions. Unlike existing randomized response (RR) models, no randomizing device is required for NRR models. This helps to reduce the cost, increase the efficiency, ensure the reproducibility, widen the appl...
